Cortney Volz

Attorney Volz is one of just a few successful and effective, female defense attorneys in the state. With over 13 years of experience in criminal defense work Attorney Volz is known for her effective litigation strategies and knowledgeable approach to the defense process. Having thousands of hours of courtroom experience she knows what your rights are and how to protect them! As a graduate of Western New England University School of Law she is tenacious and zealous about the advice and advocacy she gives her clients. She is a member of CCDLA (Connecticut Criminal Lawyers Association) and CBA (Connecticut Bar Association).

Attorney Volz worked for the Division of Public Defender Services for 13 years. During this time she did indigent defense work for thousands of clients. She knows the courts, she knows the system she gets the respect from prosecutors and judges alike. Having been praised for her preparedness and knowledge of her cases she fights for her clients with integrity and understanding of the law. Having handled cases as basic as motor vehicle infractions to serious felony cases such as Robbery, Kidnapping, and Manslaughter she is able to offer representation to her clients that is second to none.

Tricia Ventura

Attorney Ventura graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law with a Criminal Law and Advocacy Certification. She was admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association as well as the New York State Bar Association after graduating in 2005.

Tricia began her legal career and discovered her love of criminal defense work while serving as as a certified legal intern at the Public Defender’s Office in Waterbury, CT. During this time, she second-chaired several felony trials, including a murder trial. While living in New York City, she gained experience in toxic tort litigation while working at Malaby, Carlisle & Bradley, LLC.

Currently, she enjoys vigorously advocating for her clients while striving to set them at ease during their proceedings. Her mission is to provide astute guidance, recommendations, and an assertive plan of action to achieve the most favorable outcome for each individual client.
